Gibran Timothy Yusuf is a consultant radiologist at King’s College Hospital, with a specialist interest in multiparametric ultrasound. He completed his medical training in 2008 at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’s medical school including rotating through hospitals in the Caribbean. After completing his foundation training in London and Kent he returned to King’s College hospital and completed his radiology training in 2017 and was appointed as a consultant interventional radiologist with an interest in abdominal imaging. In addition he has a specialist interest in multiparametric ultrasound, especially contrast enhanced ultrasound, fusion and elastography having worked with leading names in the field. Dr Yusuf has won numerous national and international prizes for his work in ultrasound and publishes regularly in scientific journals as well as book chapters. He is a regularly invited speaker on both ultrasound and intervention including at conferences such as BMUS, ECR, RSNA and Euroson. Dr Yusuf was formerly a co-opted member of the BMUS council and has won the young investigator award at both BMUS and Euroson. He is also chair of the ultrasound group for South East London ICS.
He has also been on the NICE approval committee for microwave thyroid ablation and introduced it as a treatment for thyroid nodules in the UK.
